What's
That?
But you can e-mail me through my husband, Ron
RonP@werthan.com
or my daughter, Kellye
(kpinkleton@columbus.rr.com),
Chances are that I'll reply to it within the year, but no promises.
Bio:
I will quickly try to right the wrong concerning my previous biography. Please note I had nothing to do with the original as one of my daughters, Kellye, and one of our classmates, whose initials are “LJ”, concocted the entire document. [Editor's note: I only have a vague memory of a Leroy Jackson in our class.]
The real truth is that I am now a nun serving in the Congo. If my religious order permitted litigation, Kellye and LJ would be having their day in court as charges would have been brought against them.
Okay, now the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth!

1967-69: taught 1st grade at Glengarry Elementary School in Nashville
October 27, 1969: our son Jeff was born
November 10, 1971: our daughter Kellye was born (later to become LJ’s accomplice)
July 2, 1974: our daughter Betsy was born

Our children today:
Jeff: graduated from Wright State University in Ohio with a degree in Mass Communication. He married Kara on June 23, 2001 (our anniversary); they have 2 sons, Jaden, 2 ½ and Ethan, 9 months. Jeff is Executive Director of Springfield Christian Youth Ministry, an inner city ministry in Springfield, Ohio.
Kellye: graduated from Wilmington College in Ohio with a degree in Criminal Justice; also did graduate work at Kent State University. She lives in Clintonville, a suburb of Columbus, Ohio and works for a non-profit organization. Her love of people and travel takes her on many adventures such as a driving trip from Columbus to Santa Monica to “wiggle her toes” in the Pacific Ocean. My updated photo was taken on my 60th birthday when Kellye secretly arrived in Nashville with surprises galore for me.
Betsy: graduated from DLU with a degree in Elementary Education and continued to receive her Master’s Degree. She taught kindergarten for 5 years at Radnor Baptist Academy in Nashville. She married Mike Dakin on April 14, 2000 and they have 2 sons: Wilson, who is 3 and Andrew, 2 months. She is now a stay-at-home mom.
Ron and I have been married 38 years and we have a wonderful life. He has been employed by Werthan Packaging, Inc. for 36 years. He is an avid UT fan, and hopes at least one of the grandsons will play football for the Big Orange. Grandsons are truly the “icing on the cake”. If we had known they were so great we would have skipped having kids and gone right to the grandsons!
We are looking forward to Wayne’s (thank you, Wayne) event on Friday, and Lipscomb on Saturday night (thank you, Jane and Larry).
